Internet safety for parents Useful information to keep your child safe

At Manorside, we believe the safety of our children online is just as important as their safety in school. During the pandemic, children will be accessing the Internet during school time every day and it can be much harder for parents to monitor.

For your child:

Google’s Be Internet Legends

The Legends Family Adventure is Google’s best ‘Be Internet Legends’ resource yet for parents and families. All parents need to do is watch and enjoy the films with their child – and whilst they do they’ll be learning some of the messages we have been teaching in school.

Each episode finishes with a creative idea which reinforces one of the Be Internet Legends pillars and is designed to work as a homework activity.

Children in Year 2 and above may remember the fantastic Be Internet Legends assembly at Manorside, run by Google and ParentZone, and many still enjoy playing the free ‘Interland’ online game, used to further teach important online safety lessons.

Safer Internet Day

All children will have an assembly and lesson (either in-school or set for remote learning). Further activities may occur throughout the day.
