How to support children to learn at home

Learning at home is very different to learning at school for the majority of children. We have collated current research and advice into some top tips on making learning successful.

Taking breaks is really important and these need to be frequent. Try to include a short break between each lesson as well as a morning and lunch break.

We have put together some ideas for break times to help build in times to be active, times to relax and times to develop skills. You might like to try and include one of each type of break every day. We’d love to hear which ones you are enjoying on Twitter @ManorsidePoole. To help you plan each day, you may like to view this checklist from the EEF.
